The On Site Communications Association (OSCA) is a body of companies that has been operating since 1963. It was originally formed as the Radio Paging Association, to serve the radiopaging community but with the development of other forms of on-site cordless communications it now covers a much wider remit.

The principal objective of OSCA is to promote the application and use of on-site cordless communication systems by end users in industry, commerce, health care and other organisations. The technologies we cover include Radiopaging, Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephony (DECT) and Private Business Radio (PBR).

OSCA's primary focus is on privately owned and operated paging and cordless communication systems but we work closely with our colleagues in the Europeam Mobile Messaging Association (EMMA), which represents the interests of the public radiopaging and messaging network operators, manufacturers and information providers throughout the world.

Both OSCA and EMMA are members of the Federation of Communication Services (FCS), which represents the interests of suppliers, dealers and distributors of all forms of portable radio and cordless telephony equipment in the UK.

OSCA also works closely with Ofcom, the UK government regulatory body for all radio use, to ensure that the interests of members are protected and that regulations and licensing conditions are clear and easily understood by both members and customers.
